   4 1. Where to update the version numbers:

   6    There are several places in the wxWidgets source tree that
   7    define the version number for the library.  When updating the
   8    version number all of these files must be edited:

  11    *.spec
  12    include/wx/version.h
  13    include/msvc/wx/setup.h [only major.minor used here]
  14    samples/minimal/borland_ide.cpp
  15    docs/doxygen/Doxyfile_inc (PROJECT_NUMBER)
  16    docs/doxygen/mainpages/manual.h (just date)
  17    docs/msw/install.txt {major release only}
  18    docs/changes.txt
  19    build/bakefiles/version.bkl {C:R:A}
  20    build/script/win_docs.bat {windows doc and setup file}
  21    distrib/scripts/build-environ.cfg {SVN tar and zip files}

  24    The script misc/scripts/inc_release can be used for incrementing
  25    the release field of the version, i.e. changing 2.8.x to 2.8.x+1.
