  38 .I Tiffcmp
  39 compares the tags and data in two files created according
  40 to the Tagged Image File Format, Revision 6.0.
  41 The schemes used for compressing data in each file
  42 are immaterial when data are compared\-data are compared on
  43 a scanline-by-scanline basis after decompression.
  44 Most directory tags are checked; notable exceptions are:
  45 .IR GrayResponseCurve ,
  46 .IR ColorResponseCurve ,
  47 and
  48 .IR ColorMap
  49 tags.
  50 Data will not be compared if any of the
